There are definitely some riders missing from the roster, quite some of them Kazachstani (like Assan Bazayev, the winner of the first stage in the Tour of Germany).

[edit] Proposed split

I think that the time has come where the history and organisation of Team ONCE and Liberty Seguros-Wurth are significantly different from Astana Team, with Manolo Saiz holding the licence of the former yet most personnel now being with the latter. I am keen to see how this develops over the winter, but it seems the teams are disparate to separate the Spanish and Swiss based versions. Mk3severo 12:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

It is a valid argument, but I think we'll have to wait until the European season starts and see how it all shakes out. Perhaps you could write a paragraph that roughly details the current problems with there being two teams considered as Team Astana? kju 10:44, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
I agree. Now that Saiz has lost his licence, and Astana has been granted a Pro Tour licence, it seems to me that one team has reached the end of its life, and a different one has begun. 74.70.68.8 03:36, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
