Comic Book Artist, Patrick Spaziante (often credited as "SPAZ!"), would often employ various cameos by Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn characters when he used to do the artwork for the earlier issues of the "Sonic The Hedgehog" comic book series published by Archie Comics. One particular Sega character he seemed to favor was the now-obscure "Astal" from the Sega Saturn video game of the same name. This particular picture was provided by internet user "DeviFoxx", and was clipped from the Archie Comics Publication "Sonic The Hedgehog" Issue number #50. The comic book panel is both a dream sequence, and a flashback being had by Dr. Robotnik as he sleeps. The flashback is of a great war taking place between the defending Acorn kingdom against it's alien invaders. The character "Astal", "Sonic The Hedgehog" and all related characters are owned by SEGA©. The Comic Book picture is owned by Archie Comics©.
