Astro Chase is a scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game released by Exidy in 1982. You are an astronaut who gets into a saucer-shaped fighter ship to kill aliens bent on destroying Earth. The ship scrolls in 4 directions and shoots at the aliens. The game's music was an endless loop of the "1812 Overture". The object was that 16 mines were placed on the screen. Once you destroyed them all, you were able to move to the next level. Every four levels, there would be an animation in which the pilot would receive a hero's welcome with a parade that got larger with each viewing.
