Vipera aspis - Viperidae; de: Aspisviper
- Considering the appearance of this specimen and the location at which the picture was taken (Paussac is 43°4'0N, 11°40'60E -- well north of Gascony and thus outside the range of V. a. zinnikeri), this is likely an example of V. a. aspis.
