[edit] History
Created by Turner in January 2003, Aspen MLT was instantly recognized thanks to the "superstar" status of its creators. Aspen successfully launched the fantasy-adventure Soulfire in 2004, the first ongoing maxi-series to premiere from Aspen. Ekos, in its final development stages, was scheduled to follow shortly thereafter. 2005 marked the return of the popular series, Michael Turner's Fathom, which was originally published by Image Comics Comic artist Koi Turnbull took over illustrating the title, highlighting what the company described as "a fresh new creative team that would usher in a new era for the extremely popular series." Aspen is expanding its media operations outside the comics arena. A live action Fathom feature film is currently being developed by James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment, while several additional live-action and animated projects are currently in negotiation. With the addition of possible video games, increased mass market licensing, and a growing in-house design department, Aspen's ambitions are continuing to expand.
[edit] Cross Company Work
Aspen MLT has worked together with both DC Comics and Marvel Comics on major cross company collaborations. The most well known of which were DC's Superman: Godfall and Superman/Batman: Supergirl, where creators of Aspen MLT worked together with DC to create art and story for these comics. Since then both DC and Marvel have worked with Aspen to engage Michael Turner to produce covers for their top series.
