From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Asmara-Massawa Cableway was built by Italians in the 1930s in Eritrea. It connected the port of Massawa with the city of Asmara. The British later dismantled it during their eleven year occupation after defeating the Italians in World War II.
