Ask Mice is a noise rock band originally from Boston, MA, known for their short chaotic bursts of live performance and audience oneness, preferring to play in tight quarters with friends and fans intimately close. Ask Mice formed out of the ashes of the short-lived FIRES!, an experimental music project that provided for the joining of duo Jeremy and Brett with soon to be close friend and songwriting partner Tom Kachel. After some line-up changes, the three found Kurt Williams and decided he was a perfect fit to the movement of the group. The band has since endured two DIY tours throughout the United States armed with fully independent releases and and a variety of hand screened merchandise. Their lineup includes former members of New Hampshire's post-Hardcore outfit Dean Farm Murder, and various Long Island musical groups including the epic Vesalius. Due to members living in both New York City and Boston, the band remains only sporadicly active, though there has been talk of a full length release in the near future. Their first release, Basement Ghosts EP, now out of print, is available for download through A New Language.
