Ashville is a borough in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 279 at the 2000 census.

Ashville is located at GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 279 people, 119 households, and 79 families residing in the borough. The population density was 598.5/km² (1,585.4/mi²). There were 122 housing units at an average density of 261.7/km² (693.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough was 100.00% White.
There were 119 households out of which 27.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.9% were married couples living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.6% were non-families. 32.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.34 and the average family size was 2.87.
In the borough the population was spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 7.9% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 19.0% from 45 to 64, and 22.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 100.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.9 males.
The median income for a household in the borough was $21,875, and the median income for a family was $31,250. Males had a median income of $27,000 versus $15,694 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $12,640. About 11.8% of families and 12.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 12.3% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.
