Ashooradeh Island is the only Iranian Island in the Caspian Sea. It is part of Golestan province. It is located 3 kilometers from Bandar Torkaman and 23 kilometers from Gorgan.[1]. Ashooradeh Island is the only peopled island in Miankaleh Peninsula. It is covered by lush foliage and welcomes those who like to sit beside its tranquil waves and watch the sea birds, inspect local handicraft, and animals. The islands market displays the traditional life in Bandar Torkaman. On Mondays, the market in Ashouradeh Island one could expect to find prayer cloth, felt carpet, handwoven carpet and exquisite cushions and carry them back to your city as a souvenir.
