Ashok Kumar (UK politician)

Ashok Kumar (born 28 May 1956, Uttar Pradesh, India) is a Labour Party politician in the United Kingdom. He is Member of Parliament (MP) for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland.
Kumar first won the similar seat of Langbaurgh in a 1991 by-election, but lost it to the Conservative party shortly after at the 1992 election. He won his present constituency at the 1997 election.
Ashok Kumar is a Distinguished Supporter of the British Humanist Association.
