[edit] Biography

Moore was born to Cynthia Moore, a Certified Nursing Assistant, and James Moore. She attended a private school in Sunnyvale until third grade when she left to spend full time on her acting. Her mother tutored her and helped her to pursue the dreams she had had since she was four.

Moore got her start in 1992 starring in the Canadian television show The Odyssey starring in split roles as Alpha and Donna. The show lasted three seasons, ending in 1994 with 39 episodes. Over the years Ashleigh has guest starred on popular television shows such as Madison as Marnie Langston in 1994, Northern Exposure as Tori Spencer in 1995, Strange Luck as Heather Rehne in 1996, and Touched by an Angel as Abby Fontaine, in 1997.

However, Moore is best known for her role as Chrissy in the 1995 film Now and Then. The actress dyed her hair 'neon red' as she called it, and gained an extra 20 pounds for her role. Prior to this role, Ashleigh starred in many made for TV movies; most of them were dramas.
