Ashitare

Ashitare (尾宿) is a half-wolf, half-human beast from Hokkan whom Nakago found in a circus tent. Nakago later killed him after being half-killed by Nuriko. Ashitare half way died when Nuriko snapped his neck in battle, although he manages to fatally wound Nuriko. Nakago explains in the manga that Ashitare's human side was what really died and that his beast side stayed alive, took over, and, upon order of Nakago, stole the Shinzaho of the Genbu priestess.
