Asher Benrubi, known by the on-air name of Smash, is the co-host of Allman and Smash In The Morning, on 97.1 FM Talk, KFTK in St. Louis, MO. Benrubi takes part in many activities in and around the St. Louis area. He does many charitable activities, and is the leader of the Smash Band. For the last 7 years he has been the production voice of the NFL St. Louis Rams and hosted an amazing party with his band for 150,000 fans who came to downtown St. Louis to celebrate the Rams 2000 Super Bowl victory.
Benrubi was formerly on the air in the 1970's and 1980's in Indianapolis as Adam Smasher, then went on to great things at DC-101 in Washington D.C. Following those years he did some time at MTV as a video jock. His on-air Guns 'n Roses Headbangers Ball interview went on to become #36 in "MTV's Greatest Moments." In 1988 he started on at KSHE-95 in St. Louis and has become an area icon.
