Sharif Radi, known in Persian as Seyyed Razi, was born in 970 AD in Baghdad, the son of Abu Ahmad an-Naqib. He was a Muslim scholar who compiled Imam Ali bin Abi Talib's sayings, the Nahj al-Balaghah, which is considered one of the famous classical texts of Islam. The book is a collection of aphorisms, political experiences, religious sermons, and letters.
