Asian Football Confederation countries.

Notes:

Australia joined the AFC in 2006, and is an ASEAN invitee.
Maldives Republic is assigned to the Asean region by the AFC (and apparently an invitee, but not confirmed), but takes part in tournaments with South Asian nations.
Iran is assigned to the Central Asian region by the AFC, but takes part in tournaments with West Asian nations.
Kyrgyzstan is assigned to the Central Asian by the AFC, but took part in the West Asian Football Federation Championship in 2000.
