Asbi'ah

Asbi'ah (Arabic: إسبيعة‎)is a town in Libya located approximately 28 miles (45 kilometers) south of Tripoli, the country's capital.

Situated in a transitional steppe zone on the northern fringe of the Sahara Desert, Asbi'ah is 10 miles (16 kilometers) east of Al Aziziyah, where on September 13, 1922, the temperature reached 57.8°C (136 °F), the highest temperature ever recorded on Earth.

Asbi'ah is at 32°31′N, 13°10′E.
