Arun Nayar

Arun Nayar (born December 1964 in Foxhill Court, Burmantofts, Leeds[1]) is chairman, CEO and co-founder of Direction Software Solutions. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics from Oxford University and a Masters degree in Physics from Imperial College, London.

Arun Nayar was born to a Mumbai based Punjabi father, Vinod Nayar, and German mother, Gunnar. The family moved to India shortly after the birth of his younger brother. Gunnar Nayar set up a hugely successful textile business in Mumbai. Arun's parents separated while he was still young and he was brought up by his mother. He received his school education from the prestigious Cathedral and John Connon School, whose past alumni include Salman Rushdie, in Mumbai.
He speaks fluent English, Hindi, German and Italian.
He married Elizabeth Hurley in March, 2007. The marriage ceremony was conducted twice. The first ceremony took place at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire on March 2, 2007 during which celebrated singer/songwriter, Elton John, walked the bride down the aisle. The second ceremony took palace in Jodhpur, India.
Arun Nayar was previously married to Valentina Pedroni, a model from Milan. He divorced Pedroni in 2003 with a reported divorce settlement of 100,000 pounds. (The Independent)
