Arulmigu Palaniadavar Polytechnic (APP), formerly APPM, is a technical institution under the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Guindy, Chennai. This is under the management of Palani Devastanam. APP represents the merger of two previously separate institutions for men and women, and serves students in and around Palani as well as from the Dindigul, Theni, Madurai, and Coimbatore districts.

APP has a best NSS unit which serves the public in the urban and rural areas around Palani. The Directorate of Technical Education awarded this Unit in 1998-1999 the following awards:

  2. Best NSS Coordinator of the Year (Er.Kandasamy).
  3. Best NSS Volunteer of the Year (K.Mathankumar).
