Arul Pragasam

Arul Pragasam was active in the Sri Lankan Civil War, and is the estranged father of musician M.I.A. (Maya Arulpragasam). Arul Pragasam was one of the founding members of the militant group EROS, Eelam Revolutionary Organisation of Students[citation needed]. He was one of the first Tamil militant who received training from the PLO in Lebanon[citation needed].
In recent years he has demilitarized his image and focuses on writing[citation needed].
The name he currently goes by is AR Arudpragasam. He was a graduate student at the University of Cambridge[citation needed]. He however failed in obtaining his degree.[citation needed]
Under this name he has published two books[citation needed].
