Arul is a Tamil (Kollywood) movie starring Vikram, Jyothika, Vadivelu, Pasupathy, Vinu Chakravarthy and Vaiyapuri. The music is composed by Harris Jeyaraj. The story tells how a man is rejected by his family but then finds his way back. It was a box-office flop. The film was directed by Hari.

The film opened in 170 screens throughout Nadu. It grossed Rs.40 million in the first week of release. It played for 78 days before being replaced by the next Vikram film - Anniyan. It was later dubbed into Telugu as Arulapodu.
