Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Chuck Bilow

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Well excuse me DISMAS, but if you want to start a war on a thirty-second article I created to give at least SOME information on a lead designer for an educational game that was released in public school across North America, then be my guest. I also don't think it's relevant to mention Google's hits on Chuck Bilow, because there are many other articles that have very few hits but are on a mass topic. Hucz 05:47, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

War? You're the only one here who thinks that this is some initial salvo of a war. It's just an AfD vote. When I put the notice on the page there was only one company mentioned that he had worked for and only one game that he had worked on. That's simply not notable enough for me. And as far as the Google hits, I got 133. I don't know how you got 811 but even with 811, that doesn't lend much credence to the argument that he's notable. I didn't put the Google hits info there as a main point of my nomination, it was just additional information. A secondary reasoning, if you will. So, instead of using this ad hominem approach, why don't you come up with some reason why Chuck Bilow is definitely notable. Dismas|(talk) 07:25, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wow

He was the lead designer for DinoPark Tycoon, and he came to my school when i was in the 7th grade for an orientation, and he told us that he and his company made $5 million on the game, and it was an educational game that we HAD to play. He is definetly important, you're just trying to piss me off, you have nothing better to do then post AfD your whole life. It can take someone hours to make an article, and 10 seconds to post an AfD. Give me some reasons why the page should get deleted. And good ones. Hucz 15:20, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't care how much the game made. The game has its article and the game is notable enough to stay. On the other hand, Chuck Bilow, in my opinion, and seemingly in the opinion of several other editors is not notable enough to warrant an article here.
Trying to piss you off?? I'd never even seen or heard of you before this article. Why would I want to piss off a complete stranger? Not only do I not know you IRL but here either. So no, I'm not trying to piss you off.
And I don't care how long it takes for someone to write an article if it's not worthy of inclusion.
As for reasons, see WP:BIO.

[edit] Fine

Alright, fine. Have your ways, destroy my work. I could care less at this point, it's getting nowhere, I'll just pick my battles, and certainly you are not one worthy enough to argue with. Delete it. Hucz 22:08, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
