[edit] Vampyric Black Metal
Delete. Not only does this genre not exist, but this page only lists one example (Emperor and Satyricon are most definitely not "vampyric black metal") whose style barely has any basis in black metal in the first place. Not notable. Dysfunktion 22:41, 21 August 2005 (UTC)
- Comment I'm finding a few cases of bands (or their labels) identifying themselves as Vampyric black metal, or it appearing in somebody's fansite or a record-selling site. For instance, [1], [2], or [3]. Note that the third one almost explicitly ID's the phrase as a neologism. Also, of the 396 google hits for {"vampyric black metal" -wikipedia}, I noticed a number of them on the first three pages presenting it as "'vampyric' black metal," further suggesting that this is a neologism for a particular flavor of black metal. - Well, that first link lists a number of other genres that don't exist either, although I'm guessing they're supposed to be describing the music and aren't actual genre names. - Dysfunktion 03:29, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete metalcruft. Grue 18:50, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete as a neologism. The Literate Engineer 23:37, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete neologism, as above.--Firsfron 00:05, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- Comment Talking about genres that don't exist... new genres arise every day. Look at how many exist already. It's because everyone wants to be different. I don't think this topic should be deleted because you say the genre doesn't exist... it may exist, it's just not a wide-known genre.
