[edit] Tom Lines
Only claim to fame is as one of thousands of candidates in the last UK general election. Wikipedia is not a directory of PPCs. Timrollpickering 20:45, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete minor losing candidates --TimPope 21:26, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete thousands of 'em lost, this one's nothing special. -Splash 22:12, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
- Keep - perhaps merging into a 'minor candidates in' page. Trollderella 01:39, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- If we had a minor candidates page, wouldn't that just be a long list of non-notables? -Splash 01:43, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Dottore So 02:25, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- Keep The Green Party has elected MEPs so it clearly is a notable party, unless you can point me to some Wikipedia policy guidelines over what constitutes political notability, I would say keep it as being the MP candidate of a notable party seems notable enough to warrant mention. - This is the same reasoning as at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Tom Woodcock, except with the name and party changed, and is as fallacious here as there. This person (like the others) has done nothing to satisfy the Wikipedia:criteria for inclusion of biographies (such as winning the election that he stood for). There is no indication in the article that he would qualify on the published journalist criteria. Delete. Uncle G 15:36:55, 2005-08-17 (UTC)
- Delete, as losing candidates aren't notable.--Scimitar parley 14:14, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete all PPCs who have done nothing else of note. Secretlondon 04:46, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
- Redirect to Oxford West and Abingdon and add very small summary about him there. (if there is no consensus to redirect, delete) -- Joolz 10:03, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete failed candidates unless something else makes them notable. — Trilobite (Talk) 14:19, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
- Delete, like the others. -R. fiend 14:38, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
