[edit] Ryan Simmons
I am finishing this incomplete nomination for professor Simmons (he left a note at the help desk complaning about how it's still around). For some reason he doesn't want to have an article on Wikipedia. No recommendation on my part, just bringing here for discussion. --Hetar 17:38, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - Not notable by our standards, I'm surprised this wasn't deleted under prod. Being the possible author of a not-yet published book is not enough. I can't see any reason to thwart Prof Simmons on this! :-) — Estarriol talk 18:26, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. Doesn't seem notable enough anyway, and the fact that he doesn't want the article on there makes it seem worthy of deletion. (I know that wouldn't always be the case, but it seems relevant here.) No one will be missing out desperately if we delete an article on this guy. Devotchka 18:28, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - per WP:BIO, WP:NN. May become notable in future. Crum375 19:21, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete as requested at the help desk. If the subject says he's not notable, then why argue with him? (Although if he ever does become notable, then we can do an article on him later.) --Elkman 19:24, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete, article fails to establish notability. Author of an upcoming book doesn't qualify. Normally, I object to subjects asking that articles about them be removed, but I think it's the right thing, in this case. User:Zoe|(talk) 19:59, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
