[edit] Rugby league player David Tyrrell
Non notable rugby league player. While the competition and club may be notable, there is no evidence of his notability Mattinbgn/ talk 22:59, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Speedy Delete A7. so tagged. --Dennisthe2 23:32, 23 March 2007 (UTC)- Change vote to keep, I didn't realize he's a pro rugby player. Sorry, just so used to these barbecue-league teams.... --Dennisthe2 02:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Weak Keep. The Speedy delete has been removed as the article clearly claims notability. Easts are playing in a professional competition and he was that competition's leading colt see [1].
Should be renamed to David Tyrrell. Capitalistroadster 01:27, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

- Keep, notable player in a semi-professional competition, the Queensland Cup is one of the second-tier competitions in the country, to be recognised at that level makes him notable. Lankiveil 01:43, 24 March 2007 (UTC).
- Comment: Playing in the Queensland Cup makes him semi-pro at best. The Queensland Cup is not what it was 25 years ago. Rugby League is unlikely to be his sole or even main profession. He would not be selected playing in that competition for any open representative teams such as State of Origin or the national team. Winning a junior "colts" award does not make one notable in my view.--Mattinbgn/ talk 02:14, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

- Keep, recent AfD asserts under-18's Australian Rules Football clubs as encyclopaedic so this guy - in a far senior league (although it's Rugby League not Aussie Rules) is clearly in a notable league. Winners of awards in notable leagues become as notable as the league itself.Garrie 22:00, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
