Speedy delete under CSD G1Keep per Crypticfirefly's herculean improvement Savidan 06:32, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Delete or redirect to Ron Popeil. (!) --Kinu 06:45, 12 February 2006 (UTC)- Keep per Crypticfirefly's verification and cleanup. Merge and redirect to/from Popiel as needed, per same, as noted below. (No wonder I didn't find anything, I was Googling it the Ron Popeil way... spelling it ei instead of ie!) Looks a lot better now! --Kinu 08:04, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. Traditional story about Polish ruler in Gniezno. Here's a retelling: http://www.warsawvoice.pl/archiwum.phtml/9072 . Apparently there is a "mice tower" as referenced in the story in Kruszwica. Crypticfirefly 07:04, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- More info: recent popular film about this ruler When the Sun Was God.Crypticfirefly 07:09, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Comment. I've done a quick rewrite based on some of the info I was able to easily find. This is not a hoax. Crypticfirefly 07:34, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Another comment-- It turns out there was an existing Popiel article. I merged in the info because it was shorter than my rewrite. So I'm going to try to move the "Prince Popiel" text to the older article. Crypticfirefly 08:03, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Another comment, I have made slight changes in the first paragraph based on the Warsaw Voice article. http://www.warsawvoice.pl/archiwum.phtml/6269/ Norum

- Keep The article has been cleaned up and deleted and it definatelly does not deserve to be deleted. This is an actual Polish legend of the early ages. Thanks for your help Crypticfirefly. http://kingpopiel.tripod.com/english/frames2.htm Norum
- Comment: Why did the AfD tag get moved to the older article? Savidan 19:04, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Comment Because I merged the content of the two articles together and put a redirect on "Prince Popiel" to the earlier one. Was this not the correct action to take? Or should both articles contain the same text but only one have the tag? I am uncertain of the procedure in this situation. Crypticfirefly 20:01, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Keep Well done Crypticfirefly for improving this article. Capitalistroadster 23:10, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
