[edit] Koji Date
Some feel that this person is not notable. Was deleted under the CSD A7 clause three times and was protected from recreation. Restored after debate at WP:DRV See Review. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 23:10, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

- Weak keep. Actor, musician and TV host; 35,000 Ghits on his Japanese name, along with Japanese wikipedia entry. Neier 13:10, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well, he is an actor and musician, a starting Japanese actor. The page probably should be classified as a stub. I don't think it should be deleted, maybe if the user who wrote the article could make the bio a bit more expansive, it'd be better. There are a lot of wikipedia articles out there that are similar to this, but they aren't deleted because they're more 'stubs' than anything. This article's a stub.Vera26 00:40, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Also, actually it's 2,200,000 hits if you type his Japanese romanized name: Date Koji, but more accurately it should be Date Kouji 190,000 Ghits. That's what fans call him, they don't refer to him as Koji Date. I think it's the case for all Asian actors. Vera26 00:42, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Put "Date Koji" in quotes and try again (1500; not 2.2 Million). Your search included any thing with a Date: that mentioned anyone named Koji. Neier 10:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's true that he's a starting actor, but he does have credits, and while I didn't write the article, I don't see why the article should be deleted. It just needs clean up and expansion from the original author. Otherwise than that, the actor Koji Date does have an official site and official blogs for his fans to visit. There are shorter articles out there like Naoya Urata that aren't being subject to deletion, so I think it's absolutely ridiculous that the article for Koji Date is being subject to deletion. It just needs to be classified as a stub and hopefully someone with more knowlege of what Koji Date has done will expand on it. Vera26 10:26, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

- Weak Keep. 43k google hits for his Japanese name. Note that searching for English-language romanised names is always going to be problematic, due to both name order and ambiguous romanisation (Koji/Kouji). Anyway, the article may be insufficient at the moment but I'm not convinced it can't be improved upon. --Rankler 10:42, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's definitely a weak keep, I've already labeled it as a stub. I think it can be expanded on, because I was checking up on his official site and it does seem like he's been involved in more than just the Prince of Tennis musicals, but I have no clue what the other projects are since my Japanese skills are quite limited. He seems to have a fanlisting too already. I think the article can be improved on too. Vera26 10:51, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Weak keep per the above comments. RFerreira 19:19, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
