I would have merged this page with the text on the Bennettitales except that neither of the leading texts on fossil plants (Stewart & Rothwell OR Taylor & Taylor) list this supposed genus. I can find no evidence in the literature on its existence or any information about it. User:EncycloPetey 11 Oct 2005

- The reason you couldn't find this genus was because it was misspelled. The correct spelling is Bennettites. I renamed the article and closed the AfD. If you still feel the article should be deleted, please drop me a line. Owen× ☎ 13:39, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
