• Keep. I think having been an Abbott is probably notable enough. Not much in the way of Google hits but I guess that goes with the job! BlueValour 00:27, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
• Comment WP:NOT a place to post obituaries. I might be convinced on the abbott = notable point although I guess in church hierarchy terms that's at best middle management. ~ trialsanderrors 01:15, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
• Delete There are hundreds if not thousands of Christian monasteries in the world, and, respectfully, other than being an abbot this gentleman seems non-notable. AdamBiswanger1 01:18, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

• Comment that is not the point - the question is whether the guy is notable and he is. In addition to being an abbott he also lead his order of monks. IMHO at least as notable as the legions of minor popstars on here (pity he didn't record an album I guess!). BlueValour 21:38, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
