Starpool is a third wave ska band that is part of the current Orange County, California music scene. Members of Starpool were in major bands from the Orange County music scene. No Doubt, Save Ferris, Freak Daddy, The Nuckle Brothers, Game Face, Dance Hall Crashers, Six Feet Deep, Los Pantelones, and The Imperials.

Antonio Gonzalez is a researcher in Computer Architecture, Processor Microarchitecture, Code Generation and Optimization Techniques. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), in Barcelona, Spain. He is the founding director of the Intel Barcelona Research Center, whose research focuses on new microarchitecture paradigms and code generation techniques for future microprocessors. He joined the faculty of the Computer Architecture Department of UPC in 1986 and became a Full Professor in 2002. He currently leads the ARCO research group and holds a part-time Professor position at this department.

His research has focused on computer architecture, compilers and parallel processing, with a special emphasis on processor microarchitecture and code generation. He has published over 200 papers, has given over 60 invited talks, has filed 20 patents and advised 13 PhD thesis in the areas of Resilient Processors, Multicore Architectures, Power-Aware Microarchitectures, Clustered Microarchitectures, Speculative Multithreaded Processors, Data Value and Data Dependence Speculation and Reuse, Cache Architectures, Register File Architecture, Modulo Scheduling, Code Analysis and Optimization, Parallel Algorithms, Prolog-Oriented Architectures, Instruction Fetching Mechanisms, and Digital Image Processing.

Dr. Gonzalez is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, ACM Transactions on Architecture and Code Optimization, and Journal of Embedded Computing. He has served on over 90 program committees for international symposia in the field of computer architecture, including ISCA, MICRO, HPCA, PACT, ICS, ICCD, ISPASS, CASES and IPDPS. He has been program (co-) chair for ICS 2003, ISPASS 2003 and MICRO 2004, among other symposia.

The Wii LAN adapter is an adapter made by Nintendo that can turn an ethernet cord into a USB extension that you can plug into your Nintendo Wii. It retails for $24.99 US on Nintendo.com's online store.

There are other third party ethernet-to-USB connectors that retail for less, but Nintendo still chooses to market their own through their online store, they are only sold online and are un-available in actual stores.

Copout.net is a website created by Jesse Gordon of Cherry Hill, NJ in 2002. The website chronicles the lives of Jesse, his friend Mike Becker, and others from the Cherry Hill, NJ area. Becker's father, Alan Becker, a somewhat disillusioned former Army Colonel who served in Vietnam, acts as the unofficial mascot of the site, with a lot of content dedicated to him.

Gordon, a former student of Cherry Hill West high school uses the website to publish his contrivertial and experimental videos, much to the praise of its viewers.The site has been highlighted by Cherry Hill West's "Achievements in Publishing" Program and named one of Cherry Hill's "Top Sites" created by local area children.

In 2004, the website came under some fire for a video involving Cherry Hill West students pointing a toy shotgun at a African-American student and shouting racial slurs. Though the video was a joke with all parties voluntarily involved, parents who viewed the video complained to the school and police that they wanted the website shut down. Many students protested that the site was protected under the first amendment. The Cherry Hill School Board came to an agreement with Gordon, and the video was taken down.

Copout.net still draws a lot of attention, praise, and controversy from residents of Cherry Hill, and the rest of South Jersey. As of 2006, Gordon has announced that he will team with other students from the greater Philadelphia area and turn copout.net into a video sharing site where people can post videos of their, as Gordon puts it, "Wacked out families, weird friends, and of meaningless crap that people think is really strange to be posting."

P.Nandakumar is a Malaysian rally driver, currently driving for the Perodua M5 Racing Team. After forays into various disciplines of motorsport like circuit racing, hill climbs and various sprint events, He made his rallying debut in The Malaysian Rally Championship 2001. On his very first event on gravel, he produced a podium finish, winning his class and finishing 4th overall. Even as a privateer with limited resources, he has always been competitive against the established teams in Malaysia. He has consistently been in the top 5 overall positions since his rallying debut, almost always the fastest front wheel drive car and often faster than some of the more powerful 4 wheel drive cars. 2004 marked a turning point in Nandakumars driving career. By winning the National 1600 Championship as a privateer with a limited budget, He demonstrated speed, consistency and maturity, qualities deemed necessary for a successful rally driver. Due to his outstanding Performance, he was awarded by the Malaysian motorsports governing body, the AAM Award for Most Promising Rally Driver. Having worked for Lotus Engineering as a chassis development engineer and test driver, He has developed in himself a potent combination of engineering ability and driving skill.

The Platforms were formed in 2000 by the collaboration of four of Leicester’s most impressive showmen and the combination of two of Leicester’s top bands.

With their music based around the 70’s The Platforms take it to a new level, adding well known classic rock and modern glam into the mix to spark up the event and keep the audience on their toes!!

John (bass) and Jam (drums) have been playing together for more years than they can remember. After several other band line ups they came together in the early 90's with two other musicians to create Platform 4, a glam rock tribute band.

Over the following 9 years the bands' popularity grew. Platform 4 gained notable success playing venues such as the London Marquee and London Hippodrome until 2000 when the band split in two, leaving John and Jam still ready for more

Craig (main vocals) and Dan (guitar) have been playing together for since 1997. Craig formed the rock band Vigorous in 1993 and enjoyed success around the local Midlands circuit until ‘97 when Dan joined the band.

Combining Dan's unmistakable guitar talent with Craig's incredible vocals and showmanship was a winning formula and Vigorous quickly became a great success.

Vigorous toured UK and Europe and supported artists such as Pat Travers and Saxon on their tours and they were a favourite at large music events throughout the country.

By 2000 Craig, Dan, John and Jam combined egos to create The Platforms, the knock out glam rock sensation. With their amazing costumes, stunning musical arrangements and an incredible show.

Howen is a film and music production company created in 2003 by Howard and Owen, the company started off by making amateur comedy songs and film clips. In 2004 Howen team received a new member, Toshea. From that point onwards, Howen’s reputation grew and the company began to make longer films with better budgets. In 2006, Howen productions released its first short film trailer, Unleashed, the film was based on the idea of a town overrun with flesh eating zombies, (a bit like resident evil but not as good) the cast included, all three producers Owen, Howard and Toshea.

Another great photographer from Athy is the award winning photographer Robert Redmond. Famed for his portrait works in Hello magazine and OK, Robert has charted the history of Athy and it’s people from the end of the last century through to the present. His recent collection of Athy’s visual history (Images of Ireland, Athy Town) sold out instantly and its currently in it’s third reprint. His other great love is the West of Ireland, in particular Achill Island. 2007 will see the release from Nonsuch Publishing (Ireland) of his Achill collection called Achill Voices. Robert’s Athy photographs capture an ever changing Ireland and stand as a testament to an Ireland that has undergone tremendous transformation in the past 30 years whereas the Achill pictures represent an unchanging Ireland, a stubborn rock set against the Atlantic.

Franz X. Lanzinger is an old-fogey in the gaming world. He created such video game classics as Crystal Castles, Krazy Kreatures, and Gubble. Last heard, he worked for Actual Entertainment. Actually he is the President of Actual Entertainment, not just a worker. He also converted Toobin' and Ms. Pac-Man to the NES, and he likes to eat pizza. Oh and back in 1990, he founded Bitmasters, where he was the President there until 1995. But then he started Actual Entertainment.

He held the world record for the arcade version of Centipede for four months in 1981. And the X. in his name is real, giving him one of the coolest names in the video game industry.

Gabrijel Savic Ra, born on first of january 1978, Serbia. Currently living and working in Belgrade. Multimedia artist, but mostly he expresses his creativity through body art performances. His performances involve cutting, piercing, scratching of his body. In Eastern Europe he became famous by his performance Ma longue misere where he used cross with razorblade to cut the palms of his hands. Recently got the interest of wilder audience with his two performances Balkan Opera I & II, performed in Macedonia and Atelier Mommas, Brussels. Ramdas Lotu Bhirud was an Indian Mathematician, whose fundamental work was in Pade Tables. He was born in Jalgaon in Maharashtra India and died in Pune in Maharashtra India.
