The Marimba Ponies are a group of children 4 to 12 years old, at which point the children are then force to leave the group. The band plays Marimbas and other instruments such as the piano, drum set, and crash cymbals. This group is popular in Japan, and is also a good example of their culture. The people of Japan are very culturally and musically advanced and the Marimba Ponies are only one example of this advancement and technology.

[edit] The Conquistadors
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
- If your request was declined and you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
"The Conquistadors" is a notable musical group in the Chicago land area. The members are Kevin Brunke and Max Wagner. They play a wide variety of music, including rock and the blues. "The Conquistadors" started as an idea in the summer of 2006, when Kevin Brunke and Max Wagner thought of making music with each other. Since that summer, the two have gone on to achieve success, and are planning to cut their own album. They plan to play their first scheduled performance at "Artsfest 2007" at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. It is speculated that their performance will be one to remember.

[edit] Jake O'Brien
Attention, reviewers: A previous reviewer could not decide whether this article is appropriate for creation. The prior reviewer left the following comment: This seems barely notable since there are apparently other fighters of the same level from UFC with just as few references. |
Jake O'Brien in an American MMA fighter versed in wrestling, who uses the ground and pound technique and competes in the UFC. 'Irish' Jake O'Brien is undefeated in his MMA career at 10-0 (3-0 UFC). His latest UFC victory was at "UFC Fight Night 8" against the favored Heath 'Texas Crazy Horse' Herring via unanimous decision.

[edit] JAMES MCNAY BRUMFIELD
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
- If your request was declined and you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
Brumfiled is the author of the cult thriller "A Tourist in the Yucatan" which was published in 2004. The book is set among the the ancient Mayan ruins and follows two unlucky gringos on an unfortunate trip to the Yucatan.
Brumfield's second book, "Across the High Lonesome," is a modern day western set at an eastern High Seirra pack station. While fiction the book is based on the authors 25 plus years as a commercial mountain guide and packer. The book has received praise from Pulitzer Prize winning author Larry McMurtry, the author of "Lonesome Dove."
Mr. Brumfield is also five time World Champion Packer and is a noted mule trainer who trained the mule Lil' Joe who was crowned the 2002 World Champion Cow Working mule.
Brumfield's mountain heritage runs deep. He is a 6th generation California, a direct descendent of Captain John Jordan who led a wagon train of emigrants to California from Brazos Texas in 1850. Captain Jordan also blazed one of the early trails across the High Sierra, the Jordan trail, and was probably the first white man to see a Golden Trout. John Jordan drowned in the Kern River in 1862.

[edit] Tone Locque
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
- If your request was declined and you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
Tone Locque, stage name Tonny-Poirier Pelletier, is a rising movie star from Calgary, Alberta.
In 2002 he appeared on the Country Music Television Christmas special: "Ghosts of Christmas past". He was featured as a boy pulling a sled as the Bolster Boy. Though not a speaking role, Tone Locque confidently told reporters that this was his big break and that he was on the road to stardom.
The Christmas special will be running until 2008.
Since 2002, Tone Loque, though rated by Young Movie Stars of Canada magazine as the 3rd most hyped actor of 2002, has not had many movie parts, and no coveted speaking role.
In the summer of 2006, Tone Locque drove his Ford Mustang across the country to attempt to break into the French Union. Although he had one bit part in a movie shot in Beloeil where he played a German soldier in the first world war, Tone Locque received no other roles. Times are hard for Tone Locque, but in attempt to spark his career he has arisen as a leading proponent of abstinence movements.
There are bootleg copies of Tone Locque singing Bad to the Bone and "Grandpapa" circulating, but these copies are rare. A 7" Tone Locque record single "Check! Boogie" recently sold for 56.00$ at Abu Records on De Vimy in Cote-Des-Neiges.

[edit] Z-curve
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
- If your request was declined and you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
The Z-curve method is a bioinformatics algorithm for genome analysis. The Z-curve is a three-dimensional curve that constitutes a unique representation of a DNA sequence, i.e., for the Z-curve and the given DNA sequence each can be uniquely reconstructed from the other. [1] The resulting curve has a zigzag shape, hence the name Z-curve. The Z-curve method has been used in many different areas of genome research, such as replication origin identification[2], ab initio gene prediction[3], isochore identification[4], genomic island identification[5] and comparative genomics.[6]

[edit] Janet Kay
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
Janet Kay (born Janet Kay Bogle) was born in London, of Jamaican parentage. Janet's career took off when she was invited to sing a reggae cover of Minnie Ripperton's song, 'Lovin' You' (produced by Alton Ellis) which became a reggae smash hit in 1977. Janet recorded 'I Do Love You' and 'That's What Friends Are For' in 1978. In 1979, 'Silly Games' (produced by Dennis Bovell) became a hit in not only U.K., but also in Europe. Janet has been recorded in the Music Guinness Book of Records, as the first British Black Female to have a reggae song at the top of the British charts. The song 'Silly Games' got to the No. 2 position in the British charts. Janet also appeared on Top of the Tops several times.
Janet has just recorded, and co-produced her 7th album for Sony Music Japan. It was released on the 18th June and is entitled 'Lovin' You … More'. The popularity of the song 'Lovin' You' in Japan is so great, that Janet was asked to re-record it yet again for this album (3rd time). This version is produced by Omar.

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion/List of Benevolent Dictators for Life
- This request for creation has been reviewed. The result is below.
Note: I'm posting this on Articles for creation because the AfD process requires page creation, which anonymous users like myself cannot do
[edit] List of Benevolent Dictators for Life
This page was originally created as a breakout of the Benevolent Dictator for Life (BDFL) article. It has since been decided that a BDFL article is unneccesary, as there is only one BDFL in the world: Guido van Rossum. There is also the SABDFL Mark Shuttleworth, but I don't think these two people alone can be spun out into an article. The previous BDFL article was mostly original research on the presumption that many people call themselves "BDFL". In reality, many open source leaders call themselves just "benevolent dictators", not "benevolent dictators for life".
The list of Benevolent Dictators for Life is a list with only one valid entry in it. I was originally of the opinion that this list should be renamed to "List of open source project leaders", however I now think it would be a difficult job in reliably defining such a list that would be useful. Hence my request simply to delete this page as a no-longer necessary adjunct to the defunct BDFL article.

- Declined. Your article appears to be a joke. It might be a wonderful entry in Uncyclopedia, a wiki where jokes and parodies are highly encouraged. But sadly, Wikipedia requires a stodgier, more factual tone in its articles, and your comedic efforts cannot be rewarded here. - cgilbert(talk|contribs) 20:57, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

The National Sea Highway Committee was the catalyst for the Australian Government's Bass Strait Passenger Vehicle Equalisation Scheme. This scheme brought uncapped federal funding and a Tasmanian Sea Highway. It is said to have changed the economic future of Tasmania and brought the next best thing to a National Highway connection between Tasmania and the mainland of Australia.

The Beelzebub Virus, created in the mid-90's is another variation of the Trojan horse (virus).
This particular virus is part of a KGB-0311 system, which neutralizes internet security and corrupts hardware. The virus has also been known to recognize keystrokes and is a favorite among hackers across the United States.
A simple anti-spyware software program can usually prevent the virus from occurring, however, some computers have been known to not reject the KGB-0311 system (usually Windows 98).

MYRRHA as an intense irradiation neutron source could also be used for nuclear fuel and material research for present day fission reactors (PWR, BWR) and the new generation reactors (Pb-cooled fast reactor, HTGR) presently called "Generation IV" reactors and for the fusion reactor.
The purpose of MYRRHA is to serve as a multipurpose irradiation facility for research to address:
- ADS technological demonstration
- Waste transmutation studies of minor actinides and long lived fission products
- Structural material studies for PWR, fusion and ADS type reactors
- Nuclear fuel behaviour studies for PWR, BWR and ADS type reactors
- Radioisotopes production for medical & industrial applications
- Proton beam applications
Taking into account the above catalogue of applications and the objective to put in service the facility around 2014-2015, the choice of MYRRHA components and parameters are as follows:
- A proton beam power of 1.75 MW (350 MeV * 5 mA)
- A windowless liquid Pb-Bi spallation target
- A sub-critical core (about 50 MW) made of MOX fuel with a plutonium contents limited to 30%, cooled with Pb-Bi and a Keff value of 0.95.
