OVERVIEW
Callidus Software (NASDAQ: CALD) is an American manufacturer of software and services for Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM) and Sales Performance Management (SPM). The company was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in San Jose, California, USA. Callidus produces a range of enterprise software and services products, including software that helps companies to improve business results and shareholder value through effective management of compensation programs and sales operations. The Callidus TrueComp software suite is the foundation of EIM and SPM systems in many large companies to align business activities toward the goal of profitability.
The company helped to pioneer the EIM category with the launch of TrueComp in the spring of 1999. Callidus followed the TrueComp launch with a series of products built on the platform, including TrueInformation™, TrueResolution™ and TrueAnalytics™. Callidus launched an on-demand service in 2006 powered by Sun’s Grid computing initiative that makes the Callidus platform available to mid-sized companies. In addition, the company offers professional services to help clients effectively organize incentive structures and sales operations.
Callidus Software completed an initial public offering in November 2003 and is currently traded on the Nasdaq National Stock Market under the symbol CALD. In late 2005, Robert Youngjohns, former head of global sales at Sun Microsystems (SUNW) and IBM veteran (IBM), joined the company as chairman and CEO. The company has partnered with some of the world’s largest technology consultancies, integrators and software vendors, including Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, IBM and SAP AG.

AfriZiki is a pioneering African music distribution service established in 2006 by two gentlemen from Kenya, Kyalo Kibua and James Muriithi. AfriZiki’s founders hope ultimately to increase the popularity of pan-African music across the continent of Africa, as well as the rest of the world, motivated by not only by altruistic ideals, but by their great passion for African music, as well as their fervent desire to expose the vast trove of magnificent but unheralded African music to a far wider audience.
The first such distribution service for African music, AfriZiki is intended to level the playing field for talented but struggling African musical artists, allowing them to compete directly with more established performers. One of AfriZiki’s fundamental goals is to provide emerging African musical artists the means to overcome many of the challenges and obstacles that have traditionally beset the African music industry, significantly increasing their chances for success. AfriZiki allows African musical artists to exercise far more control over their career destinies than ever before. AfriZiki does this by:
• Allowing African musical artists to market their music via a simple, direct, widely-used distribution channel- the Internet • Significantly reducing production and distribution costs, and minimizing administrative overhead through online digital distribution of music • Allowing African musical artists to retain full ownership of their works, and to maximize the profits they receive from them • Reducing the potential for “pirating” and copyright infringement by making music widely available to listeners at low costs • Giving listeners the flexibility to preview individual tracks prior to downloading them, so they can purchase the specific music they like • Allowing African musical artists to access to information about their fans’ musical tastes, using free AfriZiki customized reports
• Allowing African musical artists to network with interested individuals, groups, and organizations via e-mail to promote their works in a variety of venues and settings • Allowing African musical artists to access meaningful statistics about their listening audiences that can help them plan, organize, and promote more effectively and efficiently • Expanding African musical artists’ potential listening audiences to global proportions
For more information, including how to partner with AfriZiki as a fan and listener, a contributing artist, a commercial distributor, or a corporate sponsor, please visit the AfriZiki website at www.afriziki.com, send an e-mail to info@afriziki.com, or contact Greg Kozak at gkozak@starpower.net.
