[edit] translation
In translating the gnommish in artemis fowl books is a long tiring process. In which the person has to obtain 'Artemis Fowl Files' it is true that wikipedia gives a fully translated version of the text but it takes all the fun out of doing it for yourself. In time you get to grow more familiar with the text and translating through the other books gradually becomes easier. the first step to take is to translate the first book in the series as this is the shortest of the rest excluding 'The Seventh Dwarf' as this book was merely written by Eoin Colfer for world book day. In the first book Artemis discovers that the fairies have a special order in the way they read gnommish not the normal left to right of any other language.Luckily readers do not have to worry about this as the gnommish text at the bottom is neatly laid out for translation.also as you translate through the books the whole history of the fairy history is unveiled to you and can be a small hobby in itself.

[edit] fowl characters - butlers?
why are the butlers in the fowl characters section? - jlao04 08:13, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Because they are part of the books, therefore, there are in The Fowl section. Also, because the Butlers have been guarding them for so long.
[edit] Excessive character list?
There is a place to have a comprehensive and large list of Artemis Fowl characters, but I think that the Navbox is not the place to put it: it clutters the page and makes it very large.

- I agree. A lot of the characters, such as Wing Commander Vinyáyá don't even deserve their own articles.--CyberGhostface 21:24, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Some of them can be trimmed down immediately, notably Vinyáya, as she no longer has her own page. CrashCart9 06:04, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
