[edit] Canonization and Martyrdom

This article is in need of information on his canonization and martyrdom. The source documents are clear that he supported the Arian revival in Egypt, and persecuted Nicene Christians and pagans, both, so the question remains: What is the story of his canonization and martyrdom?

Is it solely because he was executed by Flavius Julianus "the Apostate"? L Hamm 21:01, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

hmmm... Also it should be noted that this article isn't linked to the eastern orthodox list of saints for october 20th. the link on the east. ortho page goes nowhere. Moonbug 23:55, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

According to the bio on the website of the OCA, Artemius accepted Nicene theology and was involved in denouncing Julian. (see external links). -- Pastordavid 22:02, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
