Articulate is a privately held U.S. software company that creates rapid e-learning software. The company has customers in more than 75 countries and has won numerous awards for its desktop software products, Articulate Presenter, Articulate Quizmaker, and Articulate Engage.

Articulate's flagship product is Articulate Presenter, which allows authors to convert existing PowerPoint files into Adobe Flash, incorporating audio, video, quizzes, and Web sites. The published Flash output can be delivered via email, Web site, or CD. Articulate Presenter is also used by corporate, educational, and government customers to create e-learning courses that are often integrated in a Learning Management System. The software is installed as a plug-in within PowerPoint.

Articulate Quizmaker is desktop software that allows the quiz author to create Flash-based quizzes, which can be used inside a Presenter course, or as a stand-alone quiz on a Web site, in a Learning Management System, or on CD. There are 21 different question types, such as true/false, multiple choice, and fill in the blank.

Articulate Engage is desktop software that allows the author to create Flash-based e-learning interactions, which can be used inside an Articulate Presenter course, or as a stand-alone interaction on a Web site or on CD. There are a number of different interaction types, including process, labeled graphic, timeline, and FAQ.
