Arthur Williams Middle School, sometimes known as AWMS, is a Middle School in the Wayne County Schools system, serving the Southern area of Wayne County, Georgia.

In partnership with parents, the community, and society, the faculty and staff of Arthur Williams Middle School strive to provide students with positive learning experiences fostering achievement, self-discipline, integrity, ethics, and cooperation in an environment that serves as a transition from elementary to high school.

- 1. Students are entitled to a safe and nurturing environment.
- 2. Every person is worthy of respect.
- 3. A successful educational experience requires a partnership with students, teachers, parents, and community.
- 4. The goals we set for each student must consider his/her individual needs and abilities.
- 5. The school must foster high standards and personal responsibility.
- 6. Children learn best when actively involved in educational experiences that reflect student abilities, styles, and rates of learning.

The Arthur Williams Athletics are called the Yellow Jackets. They offer Tennis, Football, Soccer, Baseball, and Basketball. In 2007 the boys soccer (combined with Martha Puckett Middle School) team finished 14-0, and were South Georgia Conference Champions. As of March 20, 2007 the Wayne County Middle School (combined with Martha Puckett Middle School) baseball team had a 17-0 record.
