Arthur W. Hummel, Sr.

Arthur William Hummel, Sr. (March 6, 1884 – March 10, 1975) was a Christian missionary to China, noted Sinologist and father of Arthur W. Hummel, Jr.

Later, he worked at the Library of Congress as the first Chief of the Orientalia Division.
