The Arthur O. Wheeler hut is an alpine hut located near Rogers Pass, British Columbia. It is best known as a base for powder skiing in this area. The hut is maintained by the Alpine Club of Canada. Coordinates: NAD83 11U 465812 5679223
The hut is named for Arthur Oliver Wheeler, who together with Elizabeth Parker, founded the Alpine Club of Canada.
This hut is considered the "birthplace of alpinism in North America", according to the ACC. It is the only ACC hut which can be reached by vehicle in the summer. Winter access consists of a 2km level trail.
The hut sleeps 30 in summer and 24 in winter. There are two wood stoves for heating and drying gear, and a kitchen with propane ranges and oven. There are propane-powered lamps in the kitchen and common areas.
