Arthur Lapworth

Arthur Lapworth (October 10, 1872 - April 5, 1941) was a Scottish chemist born in Galashiels, Scotland. He was a pioneer of the field of organic physical chemistry. The Lapworth reaction is named after him. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society, and was awarded the Davy Medal in 1931.
