Arthur Chandler

Arthur Chandler was a professional footballer in the 1920s and 1930s.

He is most famous at Leicester City, where he is the clubs all time record goal scorer, with 273 goals.

In 1928 Chandler scored 6 goals against Portsmouth in the F.A. Cup Semi-Final staged at Filbert Street. Leicester City won 10-0 which is a record league victory...It is rumoured that when Milan Mandaric (former owner of Portsmouth) completed his takeover of Leicester City in 2007, that he was met in the Chairman's office with a memorial of this match!
