Arthur Banks is a character in the 2002 film Desert Saints, played by Kiefer Sutherland. A renowned hitman, who after a career of some 20 years is undermined by a female hitchiker, Bennie Harper, with whom he develops a relationship. Eventually she turns on him and shoots him in the hand as he is about to kill a man. They separate, but by the end of the film he finds and shoots her.
