Arthur Avenue (Bronx)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arthur Avenue is the heart of Little Italy in the Bronx. Located in the Fordham section of New York City's northernmost borough, The Bronx, Little Italy generally refers to Arthur Ave and East 187th Street (map). Although the historical and commercial center of Little Italy is Arthur Ave itself, the area stretches down East 187th Street from Arthur Ave to Prospect Ave and is similarly lined with bodega's, social clubs, deli's, bakery's, cafes, and various Italian merchants. Most recently, the area has transitioned with a growing number of Albanian and Mexican restaurants.
