Arthamuru is a village and a Panchayat in East Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Arthamuru was originally called Ardhamuru.

Arthamuru is located 5 km from Mandapeta, and 10 km from Ramachandrapuram, East Godavari. The village is located near Rajahmundry and Kakinada.

Arthamuru has a population of about 10,000.[citation needed] Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Arthamuru has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 70%.
Agriculture from rice paddies and poultry provide the main source of income for many residents.
