Artemis Gounaki is a well-known vocal coach from various Popstars seasons on RTL II/ProSieben in German-, Greek- and Swiss- TV, helps bands and singers to improve their voices and vocal performances. Artemis is a vocal-producer and arranger (e.g. Bro'Sis, Preluders, Nu Pagadi, Overground, H-Blockx or Guano Apes).
She was singing, writing and composing for her band Illegal Aliens, with Marco Minnemann, who is her former husband, and that split in 2001 when the couple Gounaki/ Minnemann were divorced. Many of the bands already reached Gold and Platinum status in Germany. Furthermore, Artemis also supports the finalists and winners of Popstars in Switzerland and Greece.
But her work is not limited to TV shows. Artemis worked with many artists before her Popstars debut.
She also practiced together with Henning Wehland on his voice for the album recordings Fly Eyes of his band H-Blockx. After that for four years in a row Artemis also coached, arranged and produced the vocals of Sandra Nasic, singer of the famous Guano Apes for Don't Give Me Names and Walking On A Thin Line and was the steady tour coach and friend during their world wide tours ( 1998-2002).
In 2001 Artemis became the vocal coach of the German TV reality show "Popstars", which gave her an immense publicity, by selling over 1.500.000 copies of the debut album Never Forget of the winning band Bro'Sis within three days. She started to expand her work to different countries. In 2003 she moved to Athens, Greece to become the vocal coach of the Greek version of the popular show Popstars and to work on the vocal-production of the winning band Hi-5, created by this show.
During that time she also worked on the German Popstars show, that took place in Orlando, Florida USA to found the two bands Preluders and Overground. After finishing that production, Artemis went to Greece to arrange and to produce the Christmas CD of Hi-5 Mia Nihta San K'iafti.
Finishing this producion Artemis was booked as a judge to join the jury of the Greek TV Show Eurostars. The show found Sakis Rouvas and sent him to the Eurovision-Song-Contest in 2004, where Rouvas finished third placed.
Back to Germany Artemis coached, arranged and recorded the new Popstars- Band Nu Pagadi.

Artemis cooperates with musicproducers and musicians like e.g. Greg Manning, Toni Cottura or Marc Mozart, Lou Bega, T.M.Stevens, Leslie Mandoki, Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen, Thorsten Brötzmann or Peter Ries and works for record companies like Sony BMG or Universal Music, and many others.

She took a break for nine month to get more into her family life and to escape of this 24-hours-job she worked in the last couple of years.
In November 2005 Artemis opened a new chapter in her life: She started to study architecture at the Munich University and released a book she had written during her break called Singen? Kann jeder! (Everyone Can Sing) which was released in October 2005.
Artemis returned to the screen. In the show Beste Stimme gesucht (Best Voice Wanted) on KI.KA, a German TV channel for children, together with German Pop Idol Alexander Klaws and German singer Jeanette Biedermann she looked for the best voice among many little talents. After they had met there for the first time Artemis started working very closely with Jeanette Biedermann during her Bad Girls Club Tour 2006. Artemis accompanied Jeanette on her tour and coached her in order to keep her voice on a high level.

Artemis next TV project as vocalcoach an a vocal-producer will be a Swiss Audition-Show called MUSICSTAR in Winter 2006/07. (Swiss Channel SF1)
