Arta Terme is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 110 km northwest of Trieste and about 50 km northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,293 and an area of 52.7 km².[1]
The municipality of Arta Terme contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Avosacco, Cabia, Cedarchis, Lovea, Piano d'Arta, Piedim, Rivalpo, and Valle.
Arta Terme borders the following municipalities: Moggio Udinese, Paluzza, Paularo, Sutrio, Tolmezzo, Treppo Carnico, Zuglio.
