Art Fair on the Square is an annual event held on the grounds of the capitol square in Madison, Wisconsin. The event brings together around 500 artists from across the country on the second weekend of each July. Most art forms are represented, including ceramics, glass, fiber arts, photography, graphic arts, sculpture, woodwork, metals, jewelry as well as the traditional paint and print mediums. The event continues to be one of the most popular events in Madison for over 45 years, bringing an estimated 200,000 fellow artists, students, families and casual browsers. The event is organized by the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA), and serves as its primary fundraising event.

As part of the art fair, the corners and middles of each side of the square are filled with food vendors, drink carts, music stages and other entertainment.

Held in conjunction to Art Fair on the Square is Art Fair Off the Square, which is a sister event that exclusively features Wisconsin artists. Organized by the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Art Fair Off the Square is held along Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. leading to the Monona Terrace Convention Center. As with On the Square, a variety of different art forms are represented.
