[edit] Lyrical themes
- The song "Hey Kid. I'm a Computer. Stop All the Downloading" draws its name from a comical cartoon parody of the G.I. Joe P.S.A.s. (The video in question is number 015.)
- The song "Should Have Stayed in ithe Shallows" is a tale of a girl who gets high at a party, goes swimming, and is subsequently eaten by a shark. Or, as guitarist Adam Fisher explains, from the point of view of the shark:
- "When they find her on the shore they'll say, 'The shark that got her was an efficient killer.'"
- The song "The State of Texas Vs. Fear Before" is about their personal experience in Texas with the authorities, where they tresspassed into an abandoned house, being told that the said house was haunted. They were able to get away with it by convincing police officers that they were a christian band looking for inspiration. This song is a type of mockery to the cops that they dealt with.
- The song "Consequences David, You'll Meet Your Fate in the Styx" actually refers to an online test referring to the book "dantes inferno" which supposedly tells what level of hell one will go to after answering a list of questions
- The song "The Story of the Curious Oysters" refers to the Lewis Carroll book Alice in Wonderland.
