Arnold van Bezooyen is an independent industrial designer. He is founder of a design consultancy named vanbezooyen (December 2002). At the corporate website we see a digital workspace and portfolio, showing acitivity in many fields of design such as product design, new media projects, corporate identity design, sketches and experiments for research.

Arnold van Bezooyen was born on the 7th of July 1976 in a village named Klundert, The Netherlands, as a son of Matty van Hal van John van Bezooyen. September 20th 1978 his little sister Martine joins the family.
education
He was educated in Delft at the Delft University of Technology studying Industrial Design Engineering and receives his Master's degree in May 2002. His Master's project concerns the development of an interface proposal called the Material Explorer, a materials selection support tool for designers.
work history
During his college time he co-founds the web design agency LiteSite (now Procurios Webdevelopment) with Jos Jelier in Delft, and works here during 1999-2002. April 2003 he joins the agency PARK advanced design management, a small but influential team consulting on design research, organization and strategy. At PARK he works closely with managing director Frans Joziasse at the office based in Hamburg, Germany. 2005 he decides to leave PARK to continue his work as an independent designer.
material focus
Arnold van Bezooyen is a designer with strong material focus. During his Masters project intensified his interest for materials and their role in design. In 2005 this materials passion is expressed in his design work, concerning the development of materials, tools and methodology. From his point of view, too much attention has been given to the form aspect in design, and decides to dedicate his design work to creating more attention and appreciation for the material side of the design story.
