Armwood High School, located in Seffner, Florida, on U.S. Highway 92 opened in August of 1984. The school is named after Blanche Armwood, a longtime Tampa resident and contributor. The school is known for its excellent football program, which started in 1996 under head coach Sean Callahan. The Football team has made 3 straight FHSAA state final appearances, including a championship in 2004 and 2005 and a close loss in 2006. The school's mascot is the "Hawk".
