Armona Union School District is a school district in Armona, California.

The District is headed by Superintendent Steve Bogan [1]. Armona is a census-designated place consisting of 3,239 people in the 2000 Census, with approximately 35.4% of the population under the age of 18. The District is comprised of three schools: Armona Elementary, Parkview Middle School and Crossroads Charter Academy. Armona Elementary serves kindergarten through fourth grade. Parkview Middle School, which is located directly one block west of the elementary school serves grades five through eight. After eighth grade, inhabitants of the district attend Hanford West High School for ninth through twelfth grades. Crossroads Charter Academy is four years old and serves Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. It is a virtual Independent Study school. It has four satelite campuses within Kings County (Hanford, Armona, Lemoore and at Delta View School campus).

Armona Elementary School was founded in 1952 and is currently headed by Principal Randy Howard [2]. They have a faculty of approximately 30 full and part time teachers[3].

Parkview Middle School is headed by Principal Phil Holloway and Vice Principal/Projects Director Dennis Wegley [4]. They have a faculty of approximately 20 full and part time teachers [5].

[edit] Crossroads Charter Academy

Crossroads Charter Academy is headed by Principal Laurie Blue. It has a staff of two full time teachers and 28 part time teachers. The school is a Virtual Independent Study program. It has four satelite campuses within Kings county. At present (2007) it has three hundred students.
